I hired a glass bottom boat to turtle island. I travel solo but had to pay for 2 people, 1,800.000 idr came out at £82 sterling, still not bad. You don't really see anything through the little glass panel however you are given bread to feed fish on the way. At turtle island I was shown the turtles several different kinds large and babies. I fed some of them, they also had lizards, snakes, hornbill things,parrots a luwak and some fruit bats. Most of these animals were kept being taken out of their enclosures to be posed with the visitors, which I wasn't keen on but if anyone bought their photos it is a form of revenue for the sanctuary as I was keep being informed they get no funding from anywhere and they are all volunteers. You can also pay 500.000idr and release a baby turtle about £25 I did that and It was an experience of a lifetime. Well worth doing the trip.
