Instead of slamming your phone against the ground or punching a hole in the wall or flipping a table, you can come to the Smash Room and shatter, break, stomp, tear, yell, and embrace an animalistic release you can only find here, a therapy that doesn't involve reflection, a meditation that doesn't involve soul searching.
Smash Room Dubai is the brainchild of Hiba Balfaqih and her friend, Ibrahim Abudyak. They set up the Smash Room with the purpose of being an outlet to vent frustration by smashing things, it was that simple. Set up in the back of an old tire shop in Al Quoz, the Smash Room has four rooms to choose from. Depending on how much frustration you'd like to expend, you can choose the number of items you can smash to bits. All the items that are smashed have been collected from junkyards (you can make donations to this as well). Once you have chosen the room of your choice, grab a weapon and begin smashing, it is as simple as that. Everything in the room is expendable, and you can destroy all the items to your heart's content.
