In Ocean Expo Park, you can experience the natural charm of Okinawa, experience history and culture, and play with dolphins. Churaumi Aquarium is one of the most popular attractions, full of mysterious deep-sea creatures. The sun is shining in the tank of the "Coral Sea", where more than 800 colonies of various corals are raised and displayed. Inside the huge tank "Kuroshio Sea", which exhibits superpower, is the world's largest whale shark, and the world's first successful artificial reproduction of ghost bat goblets . There is also the "deep sea" that fully embodies the ocean of Okinawa, recreating the mystery of the deep ocean of Okinawa.
From April 2022, business hours are divided into normal period and busy period.

The hotel may change the dates of the busy period subject to the state of COVID-19 transmission rates. Moreover, the hotel may change the dates of the busy period if there are important events, etc.
The aquarium will be closed on the first Wednesday in December and the following day (Thursday). On days other than the aforementioned days (including the beginning of the year and the end of the year), it is open to the public (unless there are unforeseen natural disasters e.g. typhoons). In that instance, the aquarium will close.
In order to create a "safe, comfortable and clean" environment to welcome tourists, Okinawa Churaumi Aquarium will conduct maintenance and safety inspections of various facilities during the closed days. We seek your kind understanding on this matter.
As the main aquarium building is far away from the parking lots, please cater sufficient time to allow for travelling to the main building from the carpark.
